HeartSaver CPR/AED Course

Emergency Medical Training Center provides CPR classes in Pennsylvania and surrounding areas to anyone with limited or no medical training who needs to CPR certification to meet job or OSHA regulatory requirements.  The AHA Heartsaver CPR class will teach you how to perform CPR on an adult, child or infant, teach you how to use a defibrillator or AED and will give you the skills to help in cases of choking.

What will I learn from from this class?

  • 1-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant
  • 2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant
  • Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant
  • Relief of choking for adult, child and infant victims.​ ​

Note: This course does not include First Aid

​Who should take this class? 

Personal trainers, teachers, parents, lifeguards, airline personnel, corporate employees, factory workers, family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, other rescuers, and those who need or want to learn CPR, how to operate an AED and learn how to render First Aid.

HeartSaver CPR/AED with First Aid Course

Emergency Medical Training Center provides CPR classes in Pennsylvania and surrounding areas to anyone with limited or no medical training who needs CPR/AED and First Aid certification to meet job or OSHA regulatory requirements.  The AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED with First Aid class will teach you how to perform CPR on an adult, child or infant, teach you how to use a defibrillator or AED and will give you the skills to help in cases of choking. In addition, students will also learn various First Aid techniques. 

What will I learn from this class?

  • 1-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant
  • 2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant 
  • CPR Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant
  • Relief of choking for adult, child and infant victims
  • First Aid techniques
In addition to the basic techniques​ of CPR and AED, the First Aid class teaches the the lay person how to recognize and react to situations such as choking, low blood sugar, bleeding, broken bones and sprains, seizures, strokes, insect bites and stings, and temperature related injuries.

Personal trainers, teachers, parents, lifeguards, airline personnel, corporate employees, factory workers, family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, other rescuers, and those who need or want to learn CPR, how to operate an AED and learn how to render First Aid.

Course Cost: $70.00 per person

HeartSaver First Aid Course

Training Center offers stand alone adult, child, infant First Aid classes in Pennsylvania and neighboring areas.  These courses are for individuals who have already received CPR certification but need First Aid training certification. 

What will I learn from this class?

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to
  • List the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of first aid rescuers
  • Describe the key steps in first aid
  • Remove protective gloves
  • Find the problem
  • Describe the assessment and first aid       actions for the following life-threatening conditions: heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke
  • Use an epinephrine pen
  • Control bleeding and bandaging
  • Recognize elements of common injuries
  • Recognize elements of common illnesses
  • Describe how to find information on preventing illness and injury
  • Recognize the legal questions that apply to first aid rescuers

Who should take this class? 

Personal trainers, teachers, parents, lifeguards, airline personnel, corporate employees, factory workers, family members and others who need or want to learn how to render First Aid care in the event of an emergency.

Course Cost: $50.00 per person

HeartSaver Pediatric CPR/AED with First Aid Course


The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers the Four Steps of Pediatric First Aid such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging and using an Epinephrine pen, as well as child CPR AED and infant CPR. Optional modules in adult CPR AED, child mask, infant mask and Asthma Care Training for Child Care Providers are also available.


Primary Audience: Child Care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp couselors, youth organizations, coaches for children's sports organizations, others responsible for children including parents, grandparents, babysitters, and guardians.
